"Dusk in the Midst" was written for a project in an American Studies class as a reflection of "American Identity". What it means to live in America; reconciling with its violent past while also reconciling with its imperfect present and uncertain future. It draws emotional inspiration from stories of the disenfranchised throughout American history, an ode to how the ones America tends to treat the worst are exactly what make it special.
